A game by Still Broken Games · Live on Roblox

Horses went extinct.
The goats got bigger.

GOAT Knight is a live multiplayer Roblox game about riding an enormous war goat into a battlefield that fights back. Charge downhill. Hit someone. Get launched into a river. Somehow recover. Ride home and tell everyone about it.

Ride badly · Fight gloriously

The short version

It isn't a joke. It's a supply problem.

The story the game opens with — a thousand years ago, and slightly to the left of our own history.

  1. Blocky armored riders on horseback carrying blue warband banners across a plain

    01

Horse riders ruled the steppe. Everyone else walked.

  2. A fallen horse and abandoned banners on a smoke-covered battlefield

    02

Then a plague took the horses. All of them.

  3. Villagers tending a pen of white goats bred progressively larger

    03

So people bred goats. Bigger. Then bigger. Then well past sensible.

  4. A knight in blue lamellar armor riding an enormous horned white war goat at sunrise

    04

Now the cavalry has horns, a temper, and no interest in your plan.

Knights are small. Goats are huge. Everything downhill from there is physics.

What you actually do

Commit to the charge. Regret it briefly. Do it again.

Two warbands, one contested river crossing, and a great deal of animal that does not steer like a vehicle. The ground decides more than your stats do.

  • Pick a slope and mean it. Momentum is the weapon. A downhill charge you commit to beats a careful one you don't.
  • Collide with consequences. Impacts, pileups, launches, and the long undignified slide that follows.
  • Recover. Getting knocked off isn't the end of your round. Finding your goat again is half the story.
  • Take it home. Your goats, your gear, your companion and your history live at your ger between fights.

This is the game running, not a mock-up.

Unretouched captures from the public build. GOAT Knight is in active development and the art pass is ongoing — what these show is that the systems are real and people are playing them today.

The Fisher's Bend valley from above the stone bridge: a rider waits on the crossing while a burning shrine marks the objective across the river
The ground is the level. One stone crossing, a burning shrine to fight over, and a lot of open valley in between.
A battlefield with named commanders labelled Tughan Aruk the Dust-Road Beg, Ozan and Kara Captain, with shouted orders appearing above them
The field has names in it. Warlords, captains and villagers, shouting real orders — “Hold here. Let them come to us.”
A player standing outside their ger beside a large named war goat, with a fishing spot, a stock pen and armoury signage nearby
Home, with your name on it. Your ger, your herd — this one is Thunderhoof — the armoury, and somewhere to fish.

What we're aiming for

The best session doesn't end with a score. It ends with “remember when…”

One beautiful frame was not enough.

Our internal vision contest changed its rules after one entry became five. Daylight, a North Star, a whiteout, an aurora, and a homecoming now make one argument for how GOAT Knight should look across an entire journey.

Why anyone is fighting

Two families, one crossing, and a question nobody can answer.

Fisher's Bend is a mountain-fed river valley with a shrine, a fishing village, and exactly one ford a laden goat can cross. Everyone needs it. That was survivable, until it wasn't.

The River-Oath warlord died in a flood at the ford. His goat came home alone at dawn, empty saddle dark with river mud, the blue bell still tied and ringing.

Nobody can prove what happened. Whether the other family had a hand in it or the water simply took him, the valley has never settled — and the only witness was a goat, which is no witness at all.

Kara Bektuthe River Widow · holds the river camp, and the oath
The red Dust-Road banner: a dark goat's head sigil on deep red, with a swallowtail hem
Tughan Arukthe Dust-Road Beg · has herds that have to cross

Caught in the middle: a village that would like everyone to stop trampling the fish racks.

A hand-drawn war map of Fisher's Bend showing the Y-shaped river, the shrine at the fork, the Tughan and Kara camps in the foothills, the ford and village at the centre, the fen to the south, and the dust road running down the western side
Fisher's Bend — the contested crossing. The shrine sits at the fork; the camps hold the high ground on either side; the ford is the only thing everyone wants.
Kara Bektu's war camp in the live game, blue banners over the gate, her title The River Widow displayed above it, with goats and riders mustering below
And she is in there. Kara Bektu's camp in the live build — the gate names her, the blue host musters under it, and a Tughan captain is already visible across the water.

Beyond the first battlefield

Fisher's Bend is where the fighting starts. The steppe is where the rest of the life happens.

At Fisher's Bend, everyone can see what you did. At your ger, you live with what came out of it. As the world grows outward, each new place should give you another reason to head back into a fight.

Live · your home

WHO AM I?

Your Ger

Home between fights. Your goat herd, your nökör companion, your armor and the history you've started making all live here. It's where the next ride starts to feel personal.

Being built and tested

WHERE AM I GOING?

The Road

A place for the journey itself to matter — a real ride between home and battle, with room for encounters, choices, wildlife and trouble along the way.

Where we're headed

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Beyond the Bend

Other battlefields, new regions, caravans, rivals, hunts, and places we haven't named yet. The point isn't a bigger map. It's more reasons to care about the ride back.

BattlefieldRide outwardSomething happensCome back

If an adventure takes you away from the battlefield, it should give you a reason to care more when you return. Maybe you met someone, found a new route, lost a sure thing, changed your plans, or simply came home with a story you didn't have before.

The core trio

The goat is not equipment.

GOAT Knight follows the same rider, war goat and nökör companion through battle, travel, recovery and home. The goal is that you remember which goat you were riding when the ford went wrong, who was beside you, and what happened on the way back.

The game puts it better than we do. “Your war-goat. It will not obey you, but it can look like yours.”

Still Broken Games LLC · Georgia, USA

We build it, ride it, break it, and keep what works.

Still Broken Games is a small independent studio shipping a live game to real players. We aren't building toward a launch date — GOAT Knight is already public, and every idea we have gets tested against people who don't know or care how it was made.

01

Ship, then find out

Ideas go in front of live players early and behind feature flags. The ones that create good stories stay. The ones that only looked good on a feature list get cut, quickly and without ceremony.

02

Small team, heavy tooling

We run an AI-assisted development pipeline with automated verification on every build, across both game Places. It lets a very small team hold the surface area of a live multiplayer product without breaking it.

03

Physical over impressive

We prefer weight, consequence and player-made stories to systems designed to look good in a feature comparison. If a mechanic doesn't change what happens on the ground, it doesn't ship.

Not a promise — a screenshot

The shop says it out loud.

Every studio claims it isn't pay-to-win. Here is ours, printed on the shop itself: cosmetic only, earned gold, no Robux, no power. Prices are in gold you win by playing. There is no currency on that screen you can buy.
